"This post-mortem of a failed marriage indicates a virtuosic keep watch over of personality and tone meaningfully set opposed to the ossification of the fin de siècle Austro-Hungarian empire. . . What emerges is a cubist portrait of a harsh love and a death society, elegantly paced and delightfully contradictory. . . Suffused with nostalgia and remorse, the ebook conjures up and examines either the character of longing and the decline of a superb empire. "
